Orange County is a remarkable place. Nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont there is lots to see and do. Stroll down the tree-lined boulevards in our downtowns, hike through a corn maze or visit America’s roots at Montpelier, Orange County is a community where the past is abundantly present and the beauty of nature surrounds you.
Schedule some time to explore either before or after the Races.
All seven Orange county wineries will be open for tastings from 11-5 Thursday—Sunday of Race Week, Nov. 4-7. Some have extended hours or special events. Click on the individual listings below for more detailed information
Village of Gordonsville
Visit the nearby Village of Gordonsville Friday night before the Races for a free bluegrass concert by Lonesome Cross-roads. Stroll the village, shops and restaurants will have extended hours from 5-8 pm.
